Special Immigrant Juvenile – (SIJ)
Our Law Firm has a special goal of helping minors adjust their legal status in the United States, for which we use the Special Immigrant Juvenile – I360 Application (SIJ). To get an approved SIJ, the parent or guardian of the minor must obtain full Custody by a Family Court in the U.S., on the basis of abandonment or neglect of the child by one or both parents. At the Wu Law Firm, we are proud to have helped multiple parents obtain SIJ custody and terminate deportation proceedings for their children. One of the most recent successes is the case of a single Mexican mother with two kids. We helped her obtain full custody of her two kids in a New Jersey Family Court, after showing their dad had abandoned them many years ago and would be in grave danger due to gang violence if they were to be sent back to Mexico. Now that they both have approved SIJs, Immigration is no longer trying to deport them. When a humanitarian visa is available, they will be able to obtain a Green Card.
