In Absentia Deportation

At our Law Firm, we helped a Honduran Single mom, who was ordered an “In Absentia Deportation.” We filed a Motion to Reopen for her and her son at the Newark Immigration Court and the Immigration Judge granted it. We made it to the one-year deadline for them and they were able to apply for their work permits. When she received her permit, she was so happy that she wanted to take a picture with her Attorney to send it to her family in Honduras. We are still fighting her Asylum case in court, and hopefully, we will have a good outcome.
